1. Keep your lashes dry for a minimum of 24 hours after the appointment, but 48 hours prevents early falls. For this reason I recommend washing your hair prior to the appointment. If your appointment is in the evening after work, try to minimise steam from your shower when you get home. If the glue has not cured completely and is exposed to steam they may not last as long. During the warmer months of the year, it is important to stay out of the heat directly after your appointment. As this can be difficult to manage, during this time infills may be required sooner.
2. Do not pick, pull or rub your extensions – be gentle with them
3. Purchase a Lash Cleanser. When shampooing, be sure to rinse thoroughly with cool water afterward. For best results use a hand held fan or a hair dryer on cold and low to help dry the Lashes then brush afterward.
4. Do not wear mascara or use oil based makeup / skin care products around the lashes. This will compromise the bond and cause in-fills to be required sooner
5. Be careful not to sleep with your face into a pillow as this may cause you to lose lashes prematurely, or lose more lashes on one eye than the other. You will sleep the way you sleep, try not to stress too much, just be aware of wear and tear.
6. Keep your lashes tidy by brushing them with the brushes provided for you. Ensure you are only brushing mid-way down and not the roots (keep away from the bond)
7. Do not use eyelash curlers or eyelash tint
8. Do not use a towel roughly on / over your face. The cotton fibres can latch onto the extensions and pull at them. It will also feel uncomfortable.
